Social Studies:
Grade 5:Students completed a Frayer model to build understanding of the levels of government

**creating a survey in Google Forms, co-writing analysis questions to conduct survey on Friday
*** each student share their own top 2 ideas and support how the concept fills a gap or addresses a problem that needs to be solved (consider as well, how ideas can be combined) in shared team folder

POETRY WORKSHOP: The Grade 4/5 students in Room 204 will be participating in a two-day workshop with Spoken Word poet Tanya Neumeyer.  During this two-day workshop students will be engaging in writing poetry, using elements of poetry, performing and learning about the art of spoken word poetry. 
February 15th and 23rd will be our workshop dates. Funds: each student will need to bring in $16 PAST DUE.

Field Trip form sent home: A Different Booklist Book Store, author & activities honouring Black History Month, and throughout the year Funds: $7

MATH: Data Management: Bowling Project: students have created three different graphs, completed number sentences finding the averages (Mean / Median / Mode / Range) and responded to questions analyzing the data. Next, peer feedback will be provided based on the Success Criteria. Then, students will use Google Sheets to graph data and use feedback to bump up their analysis.
